TOMS is an amazing company started by Blake Mycoskie, an entrepreneur since before his days of TOMS shoes. He started with a laundry business in college and continued his entrepreneur spirit to find a way to blend philanthropy into a business model. Mycoskie has always been a traveler and noticed some rough situations in other countries.
He even participated in The Amazing Race which led him to Argentina, his main inspiration for TOMS! While traveling in The Amazing Race, Mycoskie noticed how many children in Argentina did not have shoes. This journey led him to start TOMS; buy one pair of shoes and give a pair to a child in need.
Since 2006, millions of shoes have been sold and as a result millions of shoes have been donated to those in need! One of the many reasons our Peaches are so excited for TOMS!

Another issue Mycoskie wants to bring awareness to is the birthing process in third world countries - for this Mycoskie decided to go for bags and totes, each bag bought would help a mother give birth safely. Bringing kindness and compassion for other people has made Mycoskie a successful man. These bags are awesome, not just because they support a great cause but because they are adorable and durable -- a perfect match for any peachy outfit!
Blake Mycoskie did not stop at shoes and handbags - he began to think of other ways to spread kind actions through the world. Eyewear and eye exams were another problem Mycoskie has tackled. TOMS began to sell sunglasses, with every purchase helping a person living in poverty to have an eye exam and proper eyewear. His giving heart is always looking for new ways to spread awareness! Our peaches participate in TOMS "One for One" by welcoming them to our home!
At Peachy Keen, we love companies that find a way to give back; we have Headbands of Hope, Claro candles, and now we are proud to announce TOMS as a part of Peachy Keen! We will have TOMS flats, wedges and heels as well as lots of handbags. We already have a couple pairs of the cutest TOMS shoes, but be on the lookout for the rest of this truly inspirational line and be a part of the cause!
